We are delighted to offer cardiology referral services at Avenel Equine Hospital.
We have invested in new equipment including a cardio centric ultrasound scanner with cardiac probe, state of the art measuring software and a sophisticated telemetric electrocardiogram (ECG) recording device that can be used during rest and at exercise to monitor heart rhythms.
Heart abnormalities may be detected during routine examination, examination for purchase, poor performance or during illness. Heart abnormalities are the third most common cause of poor performance and can carry safety concerns.
