Britta graduated in 1994 from the University of Veterinary Science in Giessen, Germany. She worked in equine and mixed practice in Germany and the UK. In 2000, she gained recognition as a veterinarian in Australia by passing the National Veterinary Board Exams. Britta commenced work with Scone Equine Hospital (SEH) in 2000 to 2006 working in mixed practice, general equine practice and as an equine anaesthetist in the surgery department of SEH. Her special interest is equine anaesthesia.
She gained Membership of the Australian Collage of Veterinary Scientists by exam in “Anaesthesia and critical care” in 2006. Britta re joined the surgery team at SEH as a head anaesthetist for the Stud season 2009 till 2018. She also provides training in equine anaesthesia for young veterinarians within the “Internship Education Program “of the practice. 2019 till 2023 she worked back in Germany , ambulatory equine practice and equine anaesthesia at surgery department of the Justus Liebig University of Veterinary Science in Giessen.
In October 2023 Britta joins Avenel Equine Hospital supporting the team in Equine Anaesthesia.
