Rebecca graduated from Nanjing Agricultural University in China in 2016 with a degree in Veterinary Medicine. After graduation, she spent 12 months in Hokkaido, Japan, and 8 months in Kildare, Ireland, working with Thoroughbreds of all ages and participating in externships at equine hospitals in Japan, Ireland, and the UK.
In 2018, she received a scholarship from the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) and completed a postgraduate certificate program at the Royal Veterinary College in the UK. She also passed the Statutory Examination for Membership of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons in 2021. Since then, she has been working as a junior vet at the Conghua Racecourse, a mainland branch of HKJC.
In August 2024 Rebecca joins the team at Avenel accepting a 12 month Rotating Internship.
